The Municipal Court is the local branch of the judicial system which enforces the state law within the Court’s jurisdiction to see that every person is treated fairly and equally. The City judge does not perform marriages nor has access to death and birth certificates. The Court does not have civil jurisdiction over small claims.

Our Court primarily handles traffic offenses such as the following types of infractions. The standard fines with court costs are listed below and are current as of May 31, 2007.

A plea must be entered in each case before or at the time of payment. Money Orders and Cashier’s Checks are the only forms of payments accepted.  Payments can be made in person or by mail. Filling in the information contained on the back of the ticket is required and must be sent in with payment, if payment is to be submitted by mail.

The court is located in the same building as the City Hall. The hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, and the Court remains open during the lunch hour to better serve the community. The Court Holidays are as follows:
