Building Department

The Building Department is made up of three key divisions: Plan Review, Permitting, and Inspections. Together, these divisions ensure the health, safety, and general welfare of all residential and commercial construction projects within the City of Palmhurst.

Any proposed construction or improvement requires a building permit. This includes work related to:

• Plumbing

• Air conditioning

• Electrical systems

• Remodeling

• Fencing

• Driveways

• And other structural or mechanical projects

To apply for a building permit, submit a completed application to City Hall along with two complete sets of plans.

Plan Review Timeframes:

• Residential: typically 24–48 hours

• Commercial: up to 72 hours

All submitted plans must comply with the 2021 International Building Codes as well as the City of Palmhurst Ordinances.
