Planning and Zoning

The Planning and Zoning Commission guides the growth of the City and its environment through policies and decisions incorporated by City Ordinances.

The Commission uses planning documents, development codes and ordinances such as zoning, subdivision, landscaping, parking, signs and special studies to enforce and maintain safe developments. 

The Planning and Zoning Commission oversees the following:

Conditional Use Permits
For residents who desire to operate a business in an area zoned residential.

Zoning Change
For residents who desire to change their present zone of residential to commercial.

Request for Variance
For property owners (commercial or residential) who desire to request an exemption from the established Subdivision Restrictions and/or City Ordinances.

Subdivision Review Process
For property owners who desire to develop a tract of land or parcel into a subdivision.
