Burn Permits
Burn permits are issued at the Palmhurst City Hall. Permits are free of charge and valid for one month.
To obtain a burn permit, please provide the following:
- Residents Name, Address, & Phone Number
An inspection of the burn site is required and must receive approval from the Palmhurst Fire Marshal.
HOW A BURN PERMIT WORKS
- Once approved, it is the applicant’s obligation to call City Hall and inquire if the day they wish to burn is a "good burn day”.
- City Hall will then call the Mission Fire Department to determine if it is a good day to burn.
- Upon notification from the Mission Fire Department, the city official will inform you if it is a "good burn day".
On a good burn day, burning is allowed during the following:
Monday - Friday
Burning must start between the hours of 8:00 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. and end by 1:00 p.m.
LIABILITY
The permit is given with the understanding that the City is not held liable for any damages that may occur to adjoining property(ies). The fire must be supervised at all times. One hundred gallons of dispensable water or a dependable flowing water supply is mandatory. Brush pile(s) must be at least 100 feet from any structure.
